Wilson RG Frames

Better late than really late. Last year, the pandemic compelled organizers to push the start of the French Open from May to September. While lingering difficulties this season have forced a one-week delay, at least it will still be springtime in Paris.

Wilson fans can celebrate the occasion with two limited-edition models of select frames that have special designs inspired by the clay of Roland Garros. The specs and technologies are identical to the current in-line models, but the appearance is decidedly French.

The Blade 98 (16x19) v7 RG ($219) sports a hoop with coloring resembling the famed terre battue that covers the tournament’s courts. It’s complemented by Cool Grey and Maritime Navy highlights in the throat. The Ultra 100 v3 RG has the Maritime Navy as its head color, with Cool Grey and red clay accents on the throat. Both have Cool Grey-hued grips to complete the look.

The racquets are currently available at wilson.com and tennis specialty retailers worldwide.
