Fila Axilus 2 Energized

If you’ve spent any time watching the Miami Open, chances are it hasn’t been difficult picking out the Fila players. That’s because the company’s new Tie Breaker collection features an eye-catching assortment of colors such as lavender frost, maui blue and rogue red. However, it’s probably the bold tie dye print that grabs the most attention.

The men have been sporting it on a performance crew, while the ladies have the options of a tank, skirt and dress. Another staple piece that gets the tie dye treatment is the Axilus 2 Energized shoe ($110). It boasts the same features and tech as the current model, only with an updated look for both the men’s and women’s models. We previously reviewed it upon its release. Here’s a snippet:

“There’s a great deal to like about the shoe. It’s attractive, comfortable, stable and grips the court well. It has a nice balance of weight to support features and doesn’t feel as sluggish as recent Fila models such as the Cage Delirium. I can understand why with all these merits the shoe has become prevalent on the pro tours.”

In addition to the shoes, the men’s collection includes three crew shirts styles, a collarless three-placket short sleeve Henley and the Tie Breaker short available in three color options. For the women, there are numerous tank options: Classic Racerback, Double-Layer Racerback, Multi-Strap Cami and Full Coverage. The outfit can be completed with one of three skort styles.

A unisex hoodie—good for layering up to and from the court—rounds out the line.

The Fila Tie Breaker Collection is currently available at select tennis retailers.
