Making their debut on tennis courts in 2008, the women's Gel Resolutions are a staple for both professional and recreational players alike. In this update, the Asics Gel Resolution 8s give some nods to the original, including Personal Heel Fit technology and signature Gel cushioning. The outsole also features an AHAR Plus rubber outsole and a modified herringbone tread pattern with pivot points. New to this model is the ultra-responsive FlyteFoam cushioning in the midsole, along with Dynawall and a Torque Control Counter for added stability. Our playtesting team put the Gel Resolution 8s to the test with three different foot types. As the playtest wrapped up, the ladies were all on the same page with their comments, noting top-notch cushioning, durability, support and stability. There weren't any major negatives to speak of, although two of the playtesters needed a short break-in period. Overall, the Asics Gel Resolution 8s are quickly becoming an early favorite for women's shoe of the year thanks to their high performance in all categories.
The GEL Resolution 8 tennis shoe promotes a responsive stride with a close-to-the-court feel. The Flexion Fit upper provides form-fitting support with the integration of Dynawall technology, which offers added midfoot stability during lateral movements and coast-to-coast coverage. Renowned for its signature GEL technology in the heel and midfoot, this shoe significantly reduces the impact of shock from abrupt stop and go movements on court. Creating an accelerated response with a natural close-to-the-ground feel, the GEL Resolution 8 tennis shoe allows you to approach your matches on court with confidence.
