In preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, we're profiling 20 of the top medal contenders.

Milos Raonic will make his Olympic debut in London, and if the powerful Canadian is landing his atomic serve, he may just extend his stay into the medal rounds.

“It will be an honor. It's one that not many tennis players get, considering how rare of an event it is,” Raonic said of the Olympics. “It’s an honor to have that opportunity and not only play for the nation, but be there with so many great athletes and sort of feed off each other and hopefully have a really successful two weeks.”

Raonic started the 2011 season ranked No. 156 and has rocketed up the rankings, winning two titles this year. The 21-year-old possesses the imposing serve and attacking game suited to grass, and gives Canada—which won its lone tennis gold in 2000 when Sébastien Lareau and Daniel Nestor won the doubles in Sydney—a genuine singles threat.
