Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz were in a groove all evening...

The BNP Paribas Open offers fans more than just the opportunity to see the best tennis players come together for the season’s first combined 1000-level tournament.

The Eisenhower Cup, a Tie Break Tens event, has emerged as a fan favorite in Indian Wells since evolving into a mixed doubles showcase. The latest edition returns a week from Tuesday inside Stadium 2, with a mix of familiar duos and new combinations making up the eight-team field.

Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz, who shared $200,000 after triumphing last year, are back to defend their title. Fritz has been one half of two winning mixed doubles pairings, partnering Aryna Sabalenka to victory in 2023.

For the third year running, Emma Navarro and Ben Shelton are joining forces. The American tandem tasted victory on their debut two years ago.

Also set to reunite, but for the first time in the California desert: Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud. Team Ruudtek shined in their debut together at the 2025 US Open, winning three matches on their way to a runner-up finish in New York.

Jessica Pegula and Tommy Paul, along with Leylah Fernandez and Felix Auger-Aliassime, are revitalizing partnerships from the 2024 installment. Paul just missed out on winning it all 12 months ago with Madison Keys.

A year after playing with Daniil Medvedev, two-time Grand Slam finalist Amanda Anisimova is trying her luck with his tour bestie Andrey Rublev. The current ATP world No. 18 previously participated in 2024 alongside Maria Sakkari.

Medvedev and Anisimova are both returning, but with different partners.

As for Medvedev, he’s back with a new partner as well. And it’s none other than defending BNP Paribas Open women’s champion Mirra Andreeva, whom he competed with at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

One of the most experienced doubles players in the field, Jasmine Paolini, will see if a different all-Italian combination produces a winning formula. A year after stepping out with Lorenzo Musetti, Paolini is due to share the court with Matteo Berrettini.

Play gets underway at 7:00 p.m. on March 3, with Tennis Channel airing live coverage. Proceeds from the event once again benefit local charities and teams are subject to change.
