Third seed Agnieszka Radwanska survived three match points and a game effort from 18-year-old Croat Ana Konjuh in the second round of Wimbledon. She also benefited from an unfortunate slip-up. We mean that quite literally, as Konjuh stepped on a ball at 7-7 in the third set, leading to an 10-minute injury timeout. She wasn’t the same thereafter and dropped the next two games.

Radwanska avoided the early ouster, but not No. 2 seed Garbine Muguruza. The French Open champion and 2015 Wimbledon runner-up was clinically defeated by Jana Cepelova, the WTA’s resident giant killer. Muguruza went just 1-2 on grass after winning her first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.
