WIMBLEDON, England (AP) Wimbledon spokesman Johnny Perkins says six fans were forced to change seats on Centre Court at Wimbledon because of leaks in the roof.
Perkins says ``there were three small leaks to the permanent roof, not the retractable roof. ... The leaks resulted in six people being relocated.''
The rain started before Sabine Lisicki and Marion Bartoli played Tuesday in the first women's quarterfinal match. Heavy at times, the rain pounded the white roof, often drowning out the sound of the rackets hitting the ball.
Perkins says ``the rain was pretty intensive for that period but our maintenance department will investigate and trace the source.''
The retractable roof was installed before the 2009 tournament.
