Two nights ago, Kim Clijsters came unplugged in a third-set tiebreaker against Alisa Kleybanova, which she let slip away with a disconcerting lack of resistance. Zheng’s win, thoughtful and gritty, but not so intense that I couldn’t enjoy it, too, made me forget Clijsters’ run for the hills.
