Howdy, Tribe.
I have a few housekeeping notes to share with you as I'll be up at the farm in game-rich Andes (no internet, no computer, no nothin') for the weekend, and Steggy is preparing for a trip home to her castle in Tennesee (She's also a little under the weather, so say something to cheer her up if you're so moved). She is, of course, never going to be too far from the keyboard, and may even post. Meanwhile, use the brief entry above to communicate over the weekend, and make sure you check out Part 2 of Mikey's Senior Report, below.
You may notice that today's entries were all under the "Recent" category. This is being done to facilitate the transfer of the archives to the new blogging site. Word now is that we'll be up and running with a new, improved TW by the U.S. Open. One feature many of you will love is a "Preview" window that will enable you to edit your comments. But be warned, as a writer and editor, I can tell you that you're liable to overlook the most obvious of typos and misspellings if you're in a hurry to post a comment. Once the new site is up and running, we'll move these "Recent" entries to the appropriate categories for your future reference.
Speaking of comments: We'll probably be able to archive the comments sections we've developed over the last two years, but it probably won't be at the new site. All you're likely to find there will be the old posts. If you're sentimentally wedded to any pearls of wisdom (your own, or those of others)that appeared in Comments, cut and paste them into a scrapbook. However, we'll probably be able to preserve the entire body of TW's wisdom and lunacy under this URL, on our server, so you'll be able to access comments in the future. You just won't be able to do it through the new blogsite.
The highlight next week will be the U.S. Open draw ceremony (Wednesday), and I'm traveling to Denver on Thursday or Friday, but hope to have material to post for you all while there.
Have a great weekend everyone. Special thanks to TW's Spiritual Advisor, Mikey, and the ever indispensible Steggy. See you Monday!
