After yet another rain delay, Donna Vekic battled past Tatjana Maria on Saturday, 5-7, 6-0, 6-0, to secure a spot in the Nature Valley Open final.

It was Vekic's first completed match on grass this week as played had to be moved into an indoor hard-court facility due to a washout that has plagued the tournament.

“It’s definitely been a crazy week for everyone,” Vekic grinned. “But everyone has to deal with the same things, as well. I was just trying to adapt as good as I could, and to stay focused whatever the weather brings me.”

Up next for the Croatian is either Caroline Garcia or Jennifer Brady.
