If you hit a one-handed backhand, you know that the high backhand is one of the most difficult shots in the game--so tough that even Roger Federer sometimes struggles with it. This drill develops shoulder strength and improves your technique. It's especially helpful for returning high-bouncing kick serves. Have a partner stand at the net and feed you high balls at the baseline. Take the balls out of the air and try to drive them deep into the court.
