At his last tournament in Shanghai, Alex de Minaur got his 50th win of the year, the first time he's hit that number in a single season.

And today in Vienna, he reached another milestone.

The Australian scored the 300th win of his career on Monday, defeating Austrian wild card Jurij Rodionov in his opening match at the ATP 500 indoor hard-court event, 6-4, 6-1.

He's just the second man born in 1999 or later to hit that number.

MOST CAREER WINS, MEN BORN IN 1999 OR LATER (tour-level):

  • 306: Jannik Sinner [born in 2001]
  • 300: Alex de Minaur [born in 1999]
  • 276: Carlos Alcaraz [born in 2003]
  • 256: Felix Auger-Aliassime [born in 2000]
  • 231: Denis Shapovalov [born in 1999]

Nearly 200 of those 300 career wins—191 to be exact—have come in the last four years alone, too, as De Minaur has had the four highest win tallies of his career, with this year being his highest.

He currently has the second-most wins on the men's tour this year, trailing only Alcaraz's 67. Taylor Fritz is one behind him at 50.

Up next for the No. 3-seeded De Minaur will be Argentina's Camilo Ugo Carabelli or another Austrian wild card, Filip Misolic, who play their first-round match in the Austrian capital on Tuesday.

If De Minaur wins that one, he'll be into his 11th quarterfinal of the year—his first 10 have come at the ATP 500 level or higher, too.

He's currently one of the leading contenders for one of the five remaining spots at the ATP Finals—catch up on that race here.
