The lovely thing about Andy Murray's humor (beyond the fact that he'd spell it "humour") is that he maintains a sharp, sarcastic bent without ever being nasty. His penchant for being funny is predicated entirely on a truly droll wit, comic timing, a deadpan demeanor, an understated and oft-monotone voice, and occasional lapses in PR judgment that never cost him any clout or respect. Most of those attributes are tough to convey via Twitter, as many onlookers learned when he offered a tongue-in-cheek response in a social-media Q&A about when he will marry longtime girlfriend Kim Sears. Murray got in a bit of a snag when he posted, "we are getting married just after Wimbledon should be a great day." He retracted his statement later with a similarly winking tweet, but the likes of famous friend and musician Ed Sheeran couldn't help but weigh in on the matter:
