Morning all (or evening if you're in Oz). With the earlier Crisis Center slowing down under the weight of your comments, please use this space to carry on discussing the day's matches. As always, we request that you keep the talk on-topic here, with some light off-topic chat acceptable once the tennis is finished for the day.

The evening session is under way. No big upsets on day 2 so far, there's plenty still going on, Nadal is due on court after the current ladies' match on Rod Laver Arena is over - and why am I not surprised that Guillermo Canas is locked in a match that's going the distance on Court 21? I have to confess that I failed the total endurance test last night. I needed around three hours' worth of sleep to be sure that I'd catch the end of the evening in Melbourne and be able to stay awake for it. I'll need to catch up on the end of the Hewitt-Gonzalez five-setter later, on recording.

Enjoy the rest of the tennis.
