Hi everyone. Comment volumes are building, and it's time for a fresh Crisis Center. So far today we've seen three retirements in the five matches that have been completed - Gael Monfils and Zheng Jie suffered wrist injuries against Gilles Simon and Svetlana Kuznetsova respectively, and Victoria Azarenka appeared to be ill and overcome by the effects of heat before conceding to Serena Williams. At least Elena Dementieva and Carla Suarez Navarro progressed without incident.

Currently the two highest men's seeds in this half of the draw (Nadal, the world number one, and Andy Murray, the bookies' pre-tournament favourite) are playing their matches simultaneously on different courts, making organisers look silly, as TV coverage must inevitably focus on only one of the two at any time. Nadal is up by a set and two breaks, and Murray and his opponent, Fernando Verdasco, now stand at one set all.

Enjoy the rest of today's tennis - Blake versus Tsonga to come during the night session.
