MOSCOW (AP)—Horacio Zeballos and Eduardo Schwank beat Russia's Nikolay Davydenko and Igor Kunitsyn 7-6 (7), 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-1 on Saurday to give Argentina a 2-1 lead in their Davis Cup quarterfinal series.

In Friday's opening singles, David Nalbandian gave the visitors the lead when he beat Davydenko in the first match, but Mikhail Youzhny later downed Leonardo Mayer to even the best-of-five series on indoor hard court at Moscow's Olympisky arena.

Both team captains made substitutions Saturday to their nominated doubles pairings. Davydenko came in for Teimuraz Gabashvili, and Schwank replaced Nalbandian.

The deciding reverse singles matches are Sunday. The winner plays France in the semifinals Sept. 17–19.
