MASON, Ohio (AP)—Unseeded Marcos Baghdatis upset 14th-seeded Marin Cilic 6-4, 7-5 in the first match of the $2.4 million Cincinnati Masters on Sunday night.

The 13th-ranked Cilic committed 22 unforced errors while losing for the first time in three matches against the 20th-ranked Baghdatis, who made just 14 errors.

Baghdatis clinched the win with an ace on match point after breaking Cilic to serve for the match.

The tournament resumes on Monday and is scheduled to run through Sunday.
