Marion Bartoli says that after reaching the Roland Garros semifinals and upsetting Serena Williams at Wimbledon she has finally been given the recognition that she deserves.

"It really changed in France," she told TENNIS.com.  "I received really good press and everyone in the street recognized me, from the supermarket to the gas station.  People said they were crying at how good my matches were and after Wimbledon, even though I lost the match [against Sabine Lisicki], it was exciting. And when I flew from Heathrow, even the security guard was telling me how well I played. I don’t know if I’m an international celebrity, but it's really a blessing. It [feels] nice for people to say I'm an inspiration to them."
