After being routed by Daniela Hantuchova 6-3, 6-1 in the third round of Roland Garros, Caroline Wozniacki said she’s not devastated by the loss, even though a source said she cried in the locker room after the match. The 20-year-old has yet to win a major and has not reached a major final since the 2009 U.S. Open.
"Definitely it's not fun to be here right now with a loss, but that's what happens," she told reporters. "I'm gonna be back as a better player when you see me next time. It doesn't matter. When I was younger, people told me, you'll never be a top player. You're from Denmark. We don't have the mentality. Blah, blah, blah. For me I know what I'm capable of. I know I'm a great player. I'm doing well, and I had a loss today. I'll be back even better. I'm definitely gonna try to do better in Wimbledon, and we just have to see."
