Belgian rivals Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters will meet for the 24th time in the Miami semis after Henin took down No. 2 seed Caroline Wozniacki, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4, and Clijsters hit past Sam Stosur, 6-3, 7-5.
Henin owns a 12-11 edge in their rivalry and has won five of their seven Grand Slam meetings. But Clijsters won their last match, at the Brisbane final this January, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (6). Clijsters also holds a 6-3 edge in their hardcourt contests.
"It has always been special and it will always be special," Henin said. "Kim and I grew up together, arrived on the tour at the same time, played well at the same time, retired at the same time, and now we came back at the same time. It's amazing."—M.C.
