Benesova and Melzer win mixed doubles title

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic and Jurgen Melzer of Austria won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title Sunday by beating Elena Vesnina of Russia and Mahesh Bhupathi of India 6-3, 6-2 on Centre Court.

Benesova and Melzer did not drop a set in the tournament. Melzer claimed his second title at Wimbledon after winning the men's doubles with Philipp Petzschner in 2010.
