Pat Cash upends his former student Mark Philippoussis 7-6(5), 3-6, 10-8 (champions’ tiebreak) at the ATP Champions Tour event in Delray Beach.
Cash, the 1987 Wimbledon titlist, is more than a decade Philippoussis’ senior. Cash coached Philippoussis to the 1998 US Open final. "I hit the ball well and I’ve been training pretty hard," Cash said. "I think Mark was probably a bit rusty as it was his first match of the year." Philippoussis has been talking on and off about a return to the ATP Tour for the past two years.
