Ruud Mango Split

As an athlete on the ATP Tour, Casper Ruud writes his proverbial story with a racquet. His signature forehand, calm demeanor and evolving all-around game have seen Ruud become Norway’s most prolific tennis player with three Grand Slam finals appearances, a career-high ranking of No. 2 and this year, a maiden ATP Masters 1000 trophy in Madrid.

Off the court, Ruud is bringing his authorship to a special collaboration. Announced earlier this week by Mango, the Oslo native has been tapped as the newest global ambassador for Mango Man.

Expanding its ‘Craft Your Own Story’ concept, the Spanish brand has unveiled Ruud as the face of the Fall/Winter 2025 Essentials collection. The line continues to showcase how the base components of a modern men’s wardrobe can be durable, yet equally adaptable.

“Inspired by the rhythm of Casper Ruud - a tennis player known for his control, consistency and quiet strength - the Mango design team has developed a collection that follows the same philosophy,” read the official press release.

“A versatile selection of purposeful garments that feel as purposeful as they look. Just as precision defines Casper's movements on the tennis court, it also defines the craftsmanship and design of our garments, where every detail serves both a purpose and a performance.”

Photographed by James Brodribb for the campaign, Ruud follows in the footsteps of soccer players Antoine Griezmann, Gerard Piqué, Zinedine Zidane, along with actor Adrien Brody, in becoming a Mango Man. The latest collection plays up the idea of mixing and matching articles of clothing by leveraging a neutral color palette featuring black, white, grey and hints of light brown.

“My journey hasn’t been about noise. It’s been about building something real,” Ruud says in his debut ad. “Your story isn’t told for you. You craft it. One choice at a time.”

After representing Team Europe in his fifth consecutive Laver Cup, Ruud has picked up a pair of wins so far in Tokyo on his way to the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 event. The No. 4 seed is currently on the outside looking in to qualify for the eight-man Nitto ATP Finals, though can move up to No. 10 in the Race to Turin with a title run. He meets Aleksandar Vukic Sunday at the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships.
