Kim Clijsters saved three match points at 6-2, 5-3 down to defeat Maria Sharapova 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-2 and win the title in Cincinnati.
The contest was interrupted by rain with Sharapova holding match point, with Clijsters taking command after the break. "During the delay I had to regroup and refocus, and when we came back to the court I played aggressively and turned it around," said Clijsters.
