Kim Clijsters has reached the No. 1 ranking for the fourth time with a 6-3, 6-0 wipeout of Jelena Dokic in the quarterfinals of the Paris Indoors. The reigning U.S. and Australian Open champion passed the Slam-less Caroline Wozniacki for the top spot.

Clijsters has been No. 1 three times before, twice in 2003 and once in 2006. If Clijsters win the Paris title, Wozniacki will have to reach the final in Dubai to pass the Belgian. Wozniacki will also play the following week in Doha. Clijsters is not scheduled to play again until Indian Wells.—Matthew Cronin
