After a shocking 6-0, 6-1 loss to Nadia Petrova in the third round of the Australian Open, Kim Clijsters has made another third-round exit at Indian Wells, droping a tight 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(4) contest to giant-killer Alisa Kleybanova.

Clijsters led 3-0 in the third set and 4-0 in the third-set tiebreak. "I definitely think I let it slip away a little bit," said Clijsters. "This is a match where I just have to have that little bit of killer instinct back and try to just finish it off when I have my chances."

Victoria Azarenka also fell, losing 7-6(4), 6-2 to Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez.
