Kevin Skinner, a commentator for the WTA Finals international feed, has apologized for saying "Goodbye from China" while signing off from the final of the tournament, held in Singapore.

A tweet from Kevin Skinner, a regular commentator for WTA matches shown on TennisTV, noted the slip-up:

The Miami-based Skinner was in Singapore for the tournament.

Tour officials met with Skinner to discuss the issue, according to *Singapore Today*, but would not comment publicly on the politically sensitive misstatement, which drew some angry comments from social media and those in the region.
