Ten years ago, John Isner and Roger Federer met for the first time, at the U.S. Open. Isner was a rookie on tour, while Federer was at the height of his powers—the Swiss would go on to win that U.S. Open for his 11th Grand Slam title in a four-year span.

Federer dropped just two sets during his successful run at Flushing Meadows, one thanks to Isner, who showed that he was much more than just a massive serve. Isner has since beaten Federer twice (against five losses), both times indoors.

The head-to-head history of these two should add some additional intrigue to The Match for Africa 4, which will pit Isner against Federer in Seattle’s Key Arena on April 29. Earlier this week, in Zurich, Federer and Andy Murray put on The Match for Africa 3, the latest charitable event for the Roger Federer Foundation.

But perhaps more intriguing will be the presence—and participation?—of Seattle native, technology giant and noted philanthropist Bill Gates. The former king of Microsoft made in presence felt in this promotional video:
