BAD GASTEIN, Austria (AP) Americans Jill Craybas and Chichi Scholl advanced at the rain-delayed Gastein Ladies tournament on Wednesday.

Craybas defeated Nina Bratchikova of Russia 7-5, 6-3, while Scholl routed Zuzana Ondraskova of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-0 before heavy rain interrupted play for a third straight day.

Also, eighth-seeded Johanna Larsson of Sweden defeated Jana Cepelova of Slovakia 6-4, 7-6 (1).

Third-seeded Ksenia Pervak of Kazakhstan was serving for the match at 3-6, 6-3, 6-5 against Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino of Spain when the rain forced them off the court. When they returned hours later, Pervak lost her serve but won the tiebreaker 7-3.

Yvonne Meusburger of Austria saved four match points before beating fifth-seeded Petra Martic of Croatia 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (5). The 138th-ranked Meusburger has reached the quarterfinals every year since the event began in 2007.
