Creditors force an auction of former Top 10 player Patty Schnyder's personal belongings in Switzerland, Tages Anzeiger reports. Schnyder and her husband, Rainier Hofmann, have apparently fled her home country and are living in Germany. They are said to owe around $418,000 U.S. dollars in debts. Among the items that were auctioned were her junior tennis diaries, some smaller trophies, and about a dozen tennis racquets. Swiss tax authorities are among the creditors. Schnyder retired last May after winning about $8.5 million dollars in career prize money.
