After his tight first-round win over Guillermo Garcia-Lopez at the U.S. Open, Juan Martin del Potro tells La Nacion that his left wrist still hurts and he is lacking confidence in his two-handed backhand.
“I have some discomfort in the wrist that make me uncertain, I don't trust the shots or have some fear," the 2009 U.S. Open champion said. “I’ve improved my serve, I have confidence in my forehand and now I need more rhythm in my backhand. The wrist discomfort is difficult in a four hour match and during long points.”
