Mardy Fish, who qualified for the ATP World Tour Finals for the first time, says that despite being placed in a round-robin group with 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer, 10-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal and sixth-ranked Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, that he has a shot to reach the final four.
"There's really not too many holes there—apart from me, I think,'' Fish said with a laugh. "I still don't feel like I really belong in that group. But I'll take it. I'll enjoy it for sure.''
Fish's combined career record against his three foes is 2-14, and he has been struggling with a left hamstring injury. He’ll open against Nadal on Monday.
"I've had a lot of Top 10-wins in my career, and Top 5-wins, so, I mean, it's not out of the realm of possibilities to get to the semis and beyond for me," he said. "I feel like that. And I'm sure everybody will feel like that going in. These guys are all the best of the best.''
