Novak Djokovic says he has nothing to prove in the Wimbledon final after seizing the No. 1 ranking away from Rafael Nadal with his semifinal win over Andy Murray. The Serbian and the Spaniard will play for the first time in a Grand Slam final on Sunday. Nadal leads their head-to-head match-ups 16-11, but Djokovic has won their last four matches, all this season and in Masters finals (Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid and Rome). Nadal is 5-0 against Djokovic at the Grand Slams and owns a win over him at Wimbledon, in 2007.

"I don't need to prove anything to anybody, just to myself, Djokovic told reporters. "I want to win this trophy. This has been always my dream to be in the finals of Wimbledon. So I am very much looking forward to it, very much excited. Look, there is no bigger challenge at this point in our sport than playing in Wimbledon final against Nadal, who has won two out of the last three Wimbledon’s. It's a big match."
