PARIS(AP) Novak Djokovic reached the semifinals of the Paris Masters for the first time by defeating Robin Soderling 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 on Friday.

Djokovic, who won his fourth title of the year with a victory over top-ranked Roger Federer last week, will face second-seeded Rafael Nadal or defending champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Djokovic's win ended Soderling's hopes of making the eight-man ATP World Tour Finals in London. Fernando Verdasco and Tsonga are still in the running for the last spot at the season-ending event.
