NEW YORK (AP) Top-seeded Novak Djokovic won the first 14 games Thursday night in a 6-0, 6-0, 6-2 victory over Argentina's Carlos Berlocq in the second round of the U.S. Open.
On the second-to-last point, Djokovic chased down a lob and hit the shot backward, between his legs, low over the net. Berlocq couldn't handle it and Djokovic celebrated by cupping his hand to his ear to bask in the applause.
Djokovic has lost a total of three games in his first two matches at Flushing Meadows. His first opponent retired down 6-0, 5-1.
The top-ranked player improved to 59-2 on the season and moved a win closer to his third major title of the year.
He'll play Russia's Nikolay Davydenko in the third round.
