BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP)—Defending champion Agnes Szavay of Hungary has reached the semifinals of the Budapest Grand Prix with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Alize Cornet of France.

The seventh-seeded Szavay reversed a loss to Cornet two years ago with six service breaks.

Szavay now meets second-seeded Alexandra Dulgheru of Romania. Dulgheru defeated Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia 6-7 (1), 6-2, 7-6.

Unseeded Patty Schnyder followed her win over top-seeded Alisa Kleybanova with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 victory over eighth-seeded Polana Hercog of Slovenia.

Schnyder will next play either Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain or Zuzana Ondraskova of the Czech Republic.
