Elias Ymer is now working with Robin Soderling, and he captured his first title with his new coach at the ATP Challenger event in Cordenons, Italy.
The 21-year-old from Sweden is currently the country's top player, and he said that Soderling, a former Grand Slam finalist, was having a positive effect on him.
"I was really working hard recently, but we started our partnership just three weeks ago," he was quoted as saying by Tennis TourTalk. "He believes in me and really raised my level of game."
Soderling was at the event until the semis, and will combine his coaching duties with other commitments. The former Top 5 player also has his own equipment company.
Winning his third Challenger title lifted Ymer to No. 211 in the rankings.
