Emma Raducanu is a win away from reaching her first final since the 2021 US Open

Is it destiny in D.C.?

Since their improbable runs to the US Open final four years ago, Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez haven't been able to recreate something similar—not even close. But this week is starting to recall that magical fortnight in Flushing Meadows. Raducanu, who has still played just one tour-level final in her career, has yet to drop a set in D.C., and will face Anna Kalinskaya in the semis. Fernandez, who followed her upset of top seed Jessica Pegula with a victory over Taylor Townsend in oppressive conditions, will get another difficult test in Elena Rybakina. If both Emma and Leylah prevail, they'll have more than earned this long-awaited rematch.

Can Moutet's magic continue in Washington?

If you haven't seen the the last point of Corentin Moutet's win over Daniil Medvedev, do yourself a favor and watch the video above. We'll wait.

The diminutive Frenchman's all-court craft will get another serious test against Alex de Minaur, who looks to reach his second final of the season. Moutet, for his part, has never won an ATP title.

The winner of this match will face either Ben Shelton, who dealt with buddy Frances Tiafoe and his legion of D.C. fans admirably in warm conditions Friday night, or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

Homegrown showdown in Prague: Marie Bouzkova vs Linda Noskova

There’s no place like home—especially in Prague, where Czech players have dominated at the WTA 250 event since its 2015 debut. Five different Czech champions have lifted the trophy here, and this year, the title will stay in home hands once again.

Former champion Marie Bouzkova will face No. 1 seed Linda Noskova in an all-Czech final. Bouzkova leads their head-to-head 2-1, including a win in Prague on her way to the 2022 title—but Noskova turned the tables at last year's Australian Open and is now the favorite heading into their title clash.
