MOSCOW (AP) Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova beat Lucie Safarova 6-2, 6-4 in the second reverse singles on Sunday to even the Fed Cup final between Russia and the Czech Republic at 2-2, with the title to be decided in the doubles match.

Russia's Maria Kirilenko and Elena Vesnina will face the Czech pair of Lucie Hradecka and veteran doubles specialist Kveta Peschke later Sunday.

Earlier, Petra Kvitova rallied to beat Svetlana Kuznetsova 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 and give the Czechs a 2-1 lead after the first reverse singles.

The two teams also split the singles on Saturday, with Grand Slam winners Kvitova and Kuznetsova winning their opening matches in straight sets against Kirilenko and Lucie Safarova, respectively.

Pavlyuchenkova had replaced Kirilenko to face Safarova in the second reverse singles.
