He's reaching milestones and making inroads all over the place in the second half of this season, and The Artist Forever Known as Roger Federer is at it again, this time auctioning off his winning 2012 Wimbledon kicks. It's all for charity, of course, as Fed wants for nothing. And coming from your native Spin keeper, a shoe aficionado himself (a connoi-shoer?), it's a thoroughly handsome tread, decidedly Federerian and on trend with the pops of color that top pros have seen seeping into their Wimble-style for the past two years.
What do you think of the shoes, and the charity dollars that they're fetching now? All these funds for great causes incline one to wonder just what Serena's walking cast—that bedazzled boot!—would go for today. It can't possibly be that she wants to hold onto that for sentimental value.
Oddly enough, all this fan-based footwear fetishizing makes me think of this bizarre (and bizarrely over-viewed) clip.
