Roger Federer has given up almost all other sports in order to decrease the risk of injury. "Last time I skied was in 2008,” said Federer, who will play rival Novak Djokovic in the final of Dubai. "I came back after the Australian Open and went skiing, and next day I got ill again. So I was like, ‘Okay, it's a sign for me. No more skiing. It's a pity, but okay, we'll do that later.' I haven't played much soccer... I did the same with squash once as well."

Federer did play golf with his parents recently in order to celebrate his mother’s birthday, but said afterward that his back hurt him a little. "I just don't want to do it because my body is accustomed to playing tennis right now and, honestly, I can wait for many more years until I can do all those other sports. I actually do miss doing all those things a bit more often.

"I can play ping pong. And I can play cards too, if that's a sport."—Matthew Cronin
