WIMBLEDON, England (AP) Mardy Fish has matched his best showing at Wimbledon, and his reward is a matchup in the third round against No. 4-seeded Novak Djokovic.

Fish, seeded 28th, was the lone bright on another dismal day for U.S. tennis Wednesday. He beat Janko Tipsarevic 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Three other American men lost, leaving only three in the tournament midway through the second round - Fish, Andy Roddick and Jesse Levine. Eliminated were Taylor Dent, Sam Querrey and Vince Spadea.

Fish is 0-2 against Djokovic, but both matches were close.

Obviously he's one of the best players in the world,'' Fish said.I'll throw everything I've got at him. I don't have anything else to do.''

With an upset, Fish would be into the fourth round at a major event for only the third time. He's 20-13 this year and playing well in part because he's healthy.

Physically I'm 100 percent,'' he said.I feel literally no nicks at all, and that's pretty remarkable in the middle of a season. I've felt great for a while now. So that's nice.''

Dent, staging a comeback from back surgery, lost to Daniel Gimeno-Traver in the completion of a first-round match suspended because of darkness, 7-5, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-7 (3), 6-4. It was Dent's first match at Wimbledon in four years, and he double-faulted 21 times.

Right now in this part of my comeback, I'm a little bit susceptible on a bad day,'' Dent said.My bad days are pretty skanky.''

Querrey, playing on Centre Court for the first time, lost to No. 11 Marin Cilic 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-4. Querrey played poorly to lose his final service game at 4-all in the final set.

One little weak game, but it was fun,'' he said.I've got to win those.''

Querrey fell to 0-2 in five-set matches.

Spadea's 14th Wimbledon ended when he lost to No. 29-seeded Igor Andreev, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2.

CLOTHING THEFT: A truckload of clothes for players at Wimbledon was stolen shortly before the tournament.

About 390 boxes of Adidas tennis outfits, including shorts and shirts, were stolen in east London two weeks ago, police said. The company scrambled to send replacement outfits to the All England Club.

We just got our Wimbledon stuff, but we didn't get anything for the summer,'' American player Sam Querrey said.I guess it was something like 75,000 euros of stuff stolen ($105,000). I don't know what anybody is going to do with all that.''

Querrey said he expects to get new outfits when he returns to the United States after the tournament. No arrests had been made.

KEEPING APPEARANCES: The woman who beat Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon doesn't mind the idea of being a cover girl herself.

The British press promoted the Centre Court matchup as a beauty contest of sorts, and after Gisela Dulko won 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, a reporter asked her about such hype.

Our publication is making you the new pinup of Wimbledon,'' the reporter said.Would that be a welcome attention for you?''

It's always nice,'' Dulko said.I always said, I'm not only a tennis player, I'm a woman.''

The Argentine said if her appearance brings more attention to her tennis, that's good.

``It's fine if they talk about it,'' she said.
