A few Spanish and Spanish-speaking players enjoyed a good time Carnaval-ing in the past week in Brazil, while others had their fun in the desert. Plus, you've got to love the honest and engaging interview Victoria Azarenka delivered about her recent coaching departure.

CARNAVALIANT If you've ever wanted to see Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer, and Gustova Kuerten quasi-dancing at a major event, this brief Rio Carnaval 2015 clip is a must-see. What's more, they sing ("Samba Enredo—Veias do Brasil"):

And how good does 38-years-young Guga look? We'll have what he's having.

#SANDBORT Not to be outdone as fun goes, Caroline Wozniacki took a break from her Dubai Tennis Championships preparation to try something new: Sandboarding. "This looks pretty nerve-wracking," she says. "I know it isn't a steep hill for experts, but for me, it looks pretty steep. I guess it's like riding a bike, right?"

Oh, she also experiences a flyover by Summer, a three-year-old peregrine falcon. Wozniacki was subsequently defeated in the Dubai semifinals by Simona Halep, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.

POTENT QUOTABLES Victoria Azarenka split from her coach of five years, Sam Sumyk, who is married to Meilen Tu, Vika's agent. Holy dramatica, right? Well, not quite. She closes a litany of interesting comments—in speaking by phone with the New York Times' Christopher Clarey—by saying this about Sumyk now coaching Eugenie Bouchard: "I think we had enough drama in the women’s game, and I think the guys show us in a way really a great example: that you can be competitive but you still can be friendly. So for me, I’m not going to try to think of this situation like it’s a drama."

HAT'S OFF A tip of the (cocked-to-the-side) cap to Donald Young, who reached the final of the Delray Beach Open before falling to Ivo Karlovic. Young, now ranked No. 45, has now reached consecutive ATP World Tour event semifinals for the first time in his career, at age 25.

What's more, he's (quietly) back on Twitter as of early February. Just don't expect any of his previous profanity-laden meltdowns on that medium:
