The clay-court season is well upon us for ATP and WTA tours both. With that, the attire Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, and other Nike notables will wear at the French Open has been revealed.
Serena's one-tone Wrap Knit Dress looks impeccable on her frame. Needless to say, she has the necessary curves for it. Sharapova's Summer Premier Dress is gray with yellow strap accents, boasting a main color scheme that she has enjoyed already on clay this year. The visors and sweatbands she wears will only make the outfit more colorful.
More items that stand out: Nadal's trendy red shorts, Juan Martin del Potro's shirt, and Li Na's entire look. If we're honest, and the Spin is always honest, the outfitting for Federer and Victoria Azarenka is a bit drab by their standards. Perhaps it will pop more against the clay on a TV screen and in person.
Serena and Sharapova, rivals always, are in Madrid, where play begins next week. It's a fight for the No. 1 ranking, which Sharapova can overtake if she bests Serena round for round. See the WTA's interesting graphic on that here. Who do you foresee being No. 1 on the heels of the Mutua Madrid Open?
