A little Tribe business before the Australian Open broadcasts begin in the U.S. Bill, who posts as Fake Birkenstocks, Steggy's compadre and an invaluable friend to TW, was hospitalized earlier this week for some nasty but thankfully not life-threatening respiratory problems. Steggy has spent most of the past few days tending to him and listening to his strangely passionate rehash of the television shows he's been watching (World's Dirtiest Jobs! - yet another groundbreaking Discovery Channel special!). The things a fella does when you take his cell phone and laptop away. . . Yeah, Steggy will kill me for posting this, as she's acutely sensitive to being accused of being sensitive, but she's been a worry-wart and Birks is lucky to have her. Hugs Steggy Anyway, that's partly why she's been keeping a low profile (which I've just blown). I just want Birks to know we all wish him a speedy recovery! Feel free to move match calls and related discussions here when ESPN begins the broadcast.
Get Well, Birks!
