Robby Ginepri will return to the ATP tour for the first time since the 2010 U.S. Open at the Atlanta Tennis Championships, held on July 18-24. Ginepri, who reached the semifinals of the 2005 U.S. Open, is a native of the Atlanta area and was given a wildcard into the tournament. Last September the 28-year-old fell off of his bicycle when trying to avoid hitting a squirrel and broke his left elbow. Ranked No. 380, Ginepri played a USTA Challenger in Illinois at the end of last month and lost in three sets in the third round to Donald Young.
