Karolina Pliskova and David Goffin have both announced coaching changes.

Pliskova posted on social media that Dani Vallverdu will no longer be her coach. The Czech began working with Vallverdu and Olga Savchuk during the 2019 offseason, after splitting with Conchita Martinez.

"Next week, we're starting preparation for the upcoming season," Pliskova said in a statement. "Unfortunately, due to time commitments, my coach, Daniel Vallverdu, and I have agreed to no longer work together. I would like to thank Dani for the work and time we've spent together."

Pliskova had an up-and-down season, reaching the final of Rome but failing to win back-to-back matches in any other tournament since returning from the pandemic-imposed break. This included the US Open and Roland Garros, where she was the No. 1 and No. 2 seed, respectively.

The former No. 1 is currently No. 6 in the rankings.

Meanwhile, both Goffin and coach Thomas Johansson announced that they were ending their two-year partnership. It was the second time they had worked together.

"I would like to thank him for everything he has done for me and all the moments we have shared together,'' Goffin said on social media.

Johansson was quoted by Belgian press saying that Goffin was not enjoying the game at the moment.

"I am seeing someone who is not having fun playing any more," he said. "It's painful seeing that your player isn't happy on court. I don't understand this blockage. The players are privileged at this time, they can keep playing their sport and win money, even if the circumstances are difficult."

In October, Goffin tested positive for the coronavirus following Roland Garros and returned in Antwerp, falling in the first round. The Belgian, ranked No. 14, spoke of fatigue following the defeat and also fell in the first round of the Paris Masters.

Goffin had spoken of a "lack of motivation" while playing during the pandemic.

Neither player has announced their new coach.
