Simona Halep now says that she isn’t sure when she will undergo a planned surgery on her nose.

During her Fed Cup appearance, when Romania lost to the Czechs, 3-2, at home, she said that her stuffed-up nose felt better and she wants to keep playing.

After losing in the first round of the Australian Open, however, the world No. 3 said that she would have a procedure to fix her recent illness problems.

"Under [the] doctor[']s advice, I will undergo surgery to fix the ongoing problem with my nose, and I've been advised that this is my best option and success is highly likely," Halep said.

Then a week later, she decided to postpone her nose surgery to play Fed Cup. She then said she also added Doha and Dubai back to her schedule, having originally withdrawn from the two tournaments for the surgery.

After losing to Karolina Pliskova and then beating Petra Kvitova this weekend in Romania, Halep said that she doesn’t know when she will have surgery this year.

“I am not sure,” she said, according to FedCup.com. “Now [that] I’ve started to play good tennis, I don’t want to stop again … I had long breaks before, many antibiotics, and I have to stay a little bit away from them. And then we’ll see – maybe [later] this year I have to do it, because it’s better for me.”
