Dayana Yastremska has announced that she recently tested positive for coronavirus but has now recovered.

The 20-year-old Ukrainian's offseason training plans were affected when she became ill two days upon arriving in Dubai.

"I went into self-isolation and didn’t train for 2 weeks," she said on social media.

While saying her symptoms were "bad," she added, "I [am] fully recovered now and my focus is to go back training."

Yastremska, who won three WTA titles in her teens, began the season by reaching the final at Adelaide. But she went winless in her final three events and also split with her coach, Sascha Bajin, following the US Open.

The world No. 29 is currently still in Dubai, training with her team. Her announcement did not indicate whether she will return to competition when the WTA season starts in Abu Dhabi.

"It has been a tough two weeks for me," she said.
