Iga Swiatek has moved safely through to the third round of the Australian Open after a 6-2, 6-3 win over Czech Marie Bouzkova.

And with that, she keeps a one-of-a-kind streak going.

The six-time Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1 is still the only tennis player, male or female, to reach the third round or better at every single Grand Slam tournament this decade.

The run dates back to the start of the 2020 season, and now stands at 24 straight majors where she has reached at least the third round.

Swiatek's match against Bouzkova on Thursday wasn't all smooth sailing—after pocketing the first set in 38 minutes, she dropped serve in the third game of the second set and found herself trailing 3-1.

But she rebounded, rattling off five games in a row to close it out, finishing it off with one last forehand winner into the corner. That was her 31st winner of the match, outweighing 27 unforced errors.

Awaiting the No. 2-seeded Swiatek in the third round will be No. 31-seeded Anna Kalinskaya, a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Julia Grabher.

Swiatek is 2-1 in her career against Kalinskaya, losing their first meeting in the semifinals of Dubai in 2024, 6-4, 6-4, but then winning their last two meetings in 2025, a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the quarterfinals of Cincinnati and a 7-6 (2), 6-4 win in the third round of the US Open.
